Bergen Music & Art Festival featuring Car Show Held September 7th 10 – 4PM
The Bergen Museum presents its annual “Bergen Music & Art Festival” on Sunday September 7th 2008. The festival will be held outdoors at the new Town Center (Paramus Bergen Mall) in the parking lot that faces route 4. At 4PM the 10 Best in Show Art Awards will be presented. Artists and crafters will show and sell their work. It will include a vintage/classic car show with separate recognition awards. Spaces are still available for participants and sponsors. Forms can be downloaded on the Museum web site – www.bergenmuseum.org.
The “10 Best In Show” will be invited to participate in a group exhibition in the Bergen Museum’s gallery in the late fall. There is no better time to add to your collection or decorate with works from established or up-and-coming artists. Fine craft work by artisans will also be featured including leather, origami, hand crochet, pottery, jewelry and more. The festival will present live music though out the day. Family fun includes face painting, free balloons, kettle corn, raffles, give-aways and more
This is the seventh year the Bergen Museum of Art and Sciences has held the Festival. This year will be bigger and better than ever. “The festival is an opportunity for artists and crafters to participate and gain recognition by being featured in a group exhibit in the Museum.” says Peter Knipe. The Festival brings the artists’ work direct to the people in an informal and festival setting.”
The festival has something for everyone. “This year we expect a large variety of offerings in the raffle in addition to the large variety of participants from fine art to antique cars.” said Dorothy Nicklus, Festival Coordinator.
Artists and craftspeople are invited to participate for a $35. registration fee. Contact the Bergen Museum at 201-291-8848 or download forms from the Museum’s web site -www.bergenmuseum.org.
